Tracing a Bullet is an ongoing photographic series where I've been documenting the evolution of my family's relationship with Chicano culture, gun violence, addiction, and the desert. The project most prominently showcases my three youngest siblings. After, my younger brother was shot in an act of gang violence and left paralyzed in 2023, I turned to photography as a form of understanding and a way to get closer to my family. Like a hug, I see the photograph as an act of love.
